Content Intern @ Youthopia

“The best writing is when a writer can express herself/himself freely, about anything under the sun. Whether happy or sad or angry, with a paper and pen in hand, let go and your creativity will flow like never before. Stories will unravel, and you will realize and discover yourself and the world at large.”

Two months of summer, and all I did was drink, eat and sleep. I searched all the internships possible, but nothing did I like. I have won writing contests, written for magazines and newspapers, but I realized I would be happy and satisfied only when I contributed to a platform that reflected me. I was looking for an internship dedicated exclusively to the youth. I longed for a spotlight where I could do what I do best – write. I desired a spotlight where I could write for everyone to read and reflect.

It was a hot, summer morning as I switched on the laptop to check for new internships on Twenty19. I sipped my cup of steaming tea and pierced fresh fruit with my fork as I scrolled through the featured internships. That’s when I saw it! The perfect opportunity. Tea and fruit aside, I applied to be Content Intern at Youthopia. Lo and behold! The very next day I learned I bagged the internship. I believe, it was one of my best decisions yet.

Officially being Content Intern at Youthopia, I am looking forward to the 3 months ahead. I aim to make these 3 months worthwhile. It will be a chance for me to explore different genres as Youthopia offers a variety of columns to research and write. It is an opportunity to develop my writing ability to the best possible, a chance to improve my reporting and writing skills. More so, I will look forward to connecting with all the writers on board this internship and learn from them. The best part about Youthopia is that it offers freedom, independence and liberty for a writer to express and explore.

My plan of action for the next 3 months is to give my best, to make the most of the opportunity received. Being a learner-oriented person, I look forward to enriching myself with this experience. I will strengthen Youthopia with my ‘Passion for Expression’. I will give this internship my best and contribute of my time, talent and skills to Youthopia. Most importantly, I will ‘Reflect Thyself’.

Awaiting an inspiring experience,
